meixian carmel peishan simin and myself met at subway at about 5 30. we were supposed to get his gift ready first. this was the plan: mr phua was only supposed to think that he was going for ice cream n dinner with me and mel. we were supposed to eat at tiong and then later we'd excuse ourselves and come back with the enitre AH family!

but no hahha! at about 6 mr phua said he wanted to go to vivo instead! so we panicked cos he wanted mel and i to wait at the bus stop opposite tiong for him! the gift was half done, peishan meixian and simin had to rely on public transport and we had to try to stall for a little time!

anyway after most of the gift was completed, mel and i went to the bus stop and were whisked off to vivocity. parking proved to be a problem there and after about 10, 15 minutes of aimless driving, mr phua suggested going SOMEWHERE ELSE! carmel and i were secretly going 'OH MY GOODNESS NO NO NO NO NO NOOOO! of couse we ddn't say it out loud but hahah we were smsing each other and i told her to make sure we eat at vivo no matter what. the rest were already on their way!!

after what seemed like eternity we got a lot and went inside.

and ok plan B was supposed to be this: the 3 of us eat at sweenswens and halfway though dinner, we'll excuse ourselves change shirts (HAHA we have a family shirt now) and everybody surprise mr phua.

but again, NO HAHA. mr phua chose to eat at dian xiao er, a chinese restaurant that was quite crowded and carmel and i were worrided that they would give us this square table meant for 4. it would then be quite difficult to squeeze 6 people in what. haha but thankfully we got a round table :) and phew that was the end of the harrowing expirence.

the rest of tha plan followed smoothly; we managed to change and surprise him (somewhat). he said he guessed that something was going to happen haha but '(he) didn't expect something to this extent'.

we then had to order more food and everybody seemed hungry that night! hahhaha! dessert at sweensens next (HAHA ITS EARTH something) . the waiter said 'oh, no this is not the original sweensens, this is e___(didn't really catch it) cafe' and i went 'huh earl cafe?' at this time the waiter was already quite some distance from me but he bothered to walk all the way back to our table and said ' no no earth cafe'. i was shocked la!

it was an extremly fun night, a reunion dinner nonetheless! loved every minute of it :) :) :) :) :) :) :D :D :D :D :D
